He's currently using a free iSpeech Chrome extension with keyboard shortcuts, and it works quite well. He's not really even into using emailĢ) He needs to select text with a mouse and have it read it back to him. He is on the web on forums posting comments and messages. To further compound issues, he doesn't need 85% of the complex advanced featureset offered by Dragon.ġ) He needs to talk to the computer so it types what he says.

and Nuance (stupidly) doesn't offer any option of being able to listen to text dictated into the headset to repeat into the mic to train it. he can't train it to his own, heavily accented, impedimented speech, because he can't read the text on the screen to actually make any improvements.

It's really not the best solution for him anyways.

He's running Nuance's Naturally Speaking, and has been depending on it for a few years and versions. He currently has an i3 powered laptop with a touchscreen, running Windows 8. He's looking for some computer tools to assist, and the one he has are really sub par.
